Viasat – IoT Nano/IDP – Billing

Below is a summary of the Viasat IoT Nano/IDP pricing structure. Important: Always refer to the Viasat NSDA that has been issued to you by Viasat, as that is leading and the information below is just a summary and may differ from your own agreement with Viasat.

Different types of plans

Viasat is offering a number of different price plans for IoT Nano/IDP, which can be set up with matching price plans in IBIS.

  • Dynamic Pooled plans
  • Static Pooled plans
  • Broadcast Data plans

Dependent on the type of agreement the IoT Nano/IDP Distribution Partner has with Viasat, some or all of these plans may be available.

Data volumes

Data volumes for IoT Nano/IDP Plans use the following units:

  • KB (kilobyte) is 1000 bytes
  • MB (megabyte) is 1000 KB
  • GB (gigabyte) is 1000 MB

Activation charges

Activation charges apply to the following actions:

  • Mailbox Activation
  • Mobile Activation IoT Nano/IDP
  • Broadcast Activation

Some things to keep in mind when setting up a price plan for IDP:

  • Depending on the plan, IoT Nano/IDP messages have a Minimum Billable Size, with incremental cost per byte above the
    minimum.
  • Viasat may charge if a terminal is deactivated without being muted first.
