Iridium offers the option of SSG pooling for certain Certus Maritime plans, which allows activation of one additional SIM card for a secondary Iridium Certus terminal located/installed on the same vessel as the primary Iridium Certus terminal.
The SSG creates a shared pool of two SIM cards sharing the same monthly data allowance (Bundle) and single monthly subscription fee.
An SP must apply for a Dual SIM SSG per vessel (Iridium Certus pooled plan request form). Iridium will provide a service plan ID for the SSG which will be made available to in SPNet. IBIS will show the service plan ID as a selectable vendor rate plan.
A Dual Static Shared Group price plan is a Static Subscription price plan type in IBIS.

Example of a Dual SIM SSG plan:

Notes:
- Each SSG will have its unique service plan ID with Iridium. This means each SSG price plan in IBIS is unique, linked to a unique service plan ID (= vendor rate plan). If customer wants Dual SIM SSG plans for multiple vessels, each vessel will have its own price plan. As soon as the service plan ID is made available in SPnet account for the SP, it will be visible in IBIS and can be selected and linked to the customer price plan.
- It is advised to reference the vessel name and/or service plan ID in the price plan name.
- The plan should be made available to the customer to which the vessel belongs.
- The subscription fee is per subscription, not per SIM card.
- Maximum SIM cards is 2.
- The pricing rule for the background IP is marked as bundled.
