Inmarsat/Viasat SCAP application, activation & report

To order a SCAP and activate SIMs on a SCAP plan, the following steps need to be followed in this order in IBIS and Service Delivery Platform (SDP):

  1. IBIS: Create customer account in IBIS for which the SCAP is ordered, see Customer Account Creation – customer details.
  2. SDP: Create SCAP order in SDP, under the correct Folder ID.
  3. SDP: When SCAP is order is complete, order status changes to completed and SCAP ID is shown on the order.
  4. IBIS: Import SCAP ID in IBIS (Provisioning menu > Inmarsat L Band > Sync and Import SCAPs)
  5. IBIS: Link SCAP ID to customer price plan with vendor rate plan, see Create Price Plan.
  6. IBIS: Activate first SIM on customer price plan, this will activate the SCAP and start subscription in IBIS and in SDP.

The SDP SCAP report is located in the Provisioning menu:

The SCAP report shows the SCAP details retrieved from SDP and shows the (active) IBIS Price Plan IDs that have the SCAP ID entered in the vendor rate plan field. The Notes field is a free text box to add any (biller) notes that might be helpful to identify the SCAP.
